It All Starts Here for Cromer Artspace on the Prom!
Artspace on the Prom: Those following the renovation of the iconic Art Deco building on Cromer seafront will be pleased to hear that work is progressing at pace. The building has been taken on by local arts charity Cromer Artspace and has an exciting future as a not for profit art gallery and workshop space benefitting the residents of Cromer as well as our visitors.
The gallery opens on April 30th for a very special fundraising show titled ‘It All Starts Here’. Artists from this region and beyond (including some you might have heard of) have donated work which will be auctioned to raise money to continue the buildings restoration. Visitors will be able to view the work and bid with all pieces starting from just £20. There will also be an online viewing and bidding system for anyone who can’t get there in person. The winning bidders could snap up a piece of work by a known artist for a bargain price, as all of the pieces are being sold anonymously! You won’t know whose work you have bought until it’s in your hands! It’s a fun way to raise funds, but the organisers hope the exhibition will also highlight the extraordinary range of art being made in our region.
The exhibition will run until May 18th and is called ‘It All Starts Here’ appropriate for what we hope will be a ground-breaking summer of Art in Cromer, with a varied programme of events lined up until October. Artists wishing to donate work, or find out about exhibiting or running workshops in the space can contact the organisers via
