Jayne Ivimey re-interprets works her 3 x great grandfather, a Norwich School artist, painted in the 1800s capturing the coast before the great changes of the Victorian period.

Jayne Ivimey discovered that her 3 x great grandfather, a Norwich School artist, had painted 10 Norfolk beach sites in the 1800s capturing the coast before the great changes of the Victorian period.
She decided to revisit the sites with the help of Prof Andrew Watkinson a UEA climate scientist to research the stretch from Weybourne to Lowestoft scientifically known as Sub Cell 3B, in order to assess the changes .
With grandfather James Stark looking over her shoulder she redrew the sites and created a 2023 interpretation 200 years later.
