Experimental Textile workshop; Explore distortion, fraying, hole making and distressing fabric
A day of experimenting with different techniques of distressing and layering fabrics, creating holes and textures.The aim will be that you go away with a collection of samples that act as a catalyst for future inspiration that you can bring to your own work and ongoing creative journey.You will be making your own textile recipes.
Beginner, intermediate
With Sarah Harris
Note: You will need to supply your own sewing machine; Ideally one that you can drop the feed on so we can play with free motion embroidery techniques.
Sarah will provide materials, but would encourage you to think about bringing anything that could be recycled/repurposed like old scarves, charity shop items etc. The treasure hunting is half the fun!
