Interviews and discussion focusing on the importance of the arts and the creative process, both to and for the individual but also for society more generally.

Phil Barrett will be joined by Rachael Long, sculptor and creator of the Lifeboat Horse in Wells harbour, Laurence Edwards, sculptor and creator of ‘The Yoxman‘ giant bronze sculpture on the A12 in Suffolk, and Malca Schotten, Norwich based artist whose projects have included public art projects, funded by the Arts Council, such as ‘Lives in Science‘ (www.livesinscience.blog), ‘I’m Not Dead Yet‘ (www.imnotdeadyetblog.com) and ‘The East Anglia Rural Building Trade Project‘.

Exploring and reflecting upon the things that art and artists of all disciplines have in common; their similarities and differences and how understanding these might increase understanding of what they do and offer a fascinating and revealing perspective and insight into practice generally, whatever form that may take. We will attempt to de-mystify the arts, making them more transparent and accessible.
