In the 1960s, artist/teacher Sister Corita Kent created her ten rules as advice to her Immaculate Heart College students. The words were hung in her classroom. In the decades since, these rules have become a mantra for all creatives to follow – displayed in art classrooms and studios across the globe.

The Artpocket community has selected Rule 4 as appropriate to the ethos of their studios; a freedom to ‘play’, the joy of happy accidents and the value of the creative process.

Artpocket is an independent art school in Norwich, that delivers innovative creative education.
