Winter/Spring round-up of visual art exhibitions and events in Norwich, Great Yarmouth, King’s Lynn, Diss, Cromer and North & South Norfolk
For 2023 we have produced a printed programme to support the summer of art exhibitions at Cromer Artspace on the Prom.
Francesca Cant, Kaitlin Ferguson and Hannelore Smith are three artists exploring urban and coastal environments. Key crossovers in their practices include investigations into materials, locality, process and form.
The art works around Cromer that formed the Bigger Picture project have been removed and put into storage while we develop plans for more great works around Cromer from September 2022. Watch this (art)space for details of an exciting project in conjunction with the National Gallery. The following artists were in The Bigger Picture:
26 July 2022 until 7 August 2022 Steve Baker is a Norwich-based artist and writer. He is a member of the Norwich 20 Group and of the national Land2 research network. Much of his photographic practice engages with the distinctive character and beauty of Norfolk’s woodlands and wetlands, and (as in his current Wall series) with the depletion of the rural environment…
The most impressive thing about the project is that Cromer wants art. It’s the efforts of many that is creating a buzz around the town.
