About Cromer Artspace
Cromer Artspace’s aim is to help the arts in Cromer to grow, develop and involve more people from across the community. Fundamentally we believe art should be accessible to everybody.
We’re a charity, run by volunteers. We put amazing art around the town – on walls where you’d least expect it – and in Artspace on the Prom.
The connection between creativity and culture and health and wellbeing has a long history; our community surveys highlight this. Cromer Artspace aims to fill the gap between the opportunities available in big cities and its rural coastal location, helping the community to address health and well-being and to inspire people to extend their horizons and enjoy the arts.

ETHOS
We’re a small dedicated group of volunteers with a focus on bringing the best art to Cromer. We work within an ethos which describes our approach and priorities.
Artspace on the Prom
- in 2022 we opened an exciting new Artspace on the Prom to be an art hub focussing in bringing contemporary art exhibitions to Cromer

Our Focus
Our focus in on Visual Art. We have focussed on that as a result of our 2021 survey, and to give our small team space to develop.
The Bigger Picture
- One way we have achieved our goal is via a unique partnership with the National Gallery, London that has seen reproductions of works of art from their collection displayed on buildings around Cromer with easy access and free for all to enjoy, bringing art out of galleries into the community for people who wouldn’t normally be exposed to such experiences.
- Currently we are hosting an exhibition in collaboration with Cromer Museum, liberating some of their image archive into the streets of Cromer
- We’re planning our 2025 exhibition which will be in collaboration with the National Museum of Scotland
Artspace on the Prom
- in 2022 we opened an exciting new Artspace on the Prom to be an art hub focussing in bringing contemporary art exhibitions to Cromer
- Now into our 3rd season, we’re broad an amazing range of art to Cromer
- The building is still in need of some renovation works – insulation, lining, heating and lighting. We’re currently fundraising the £85,000 we need – if you can please donate to our appeal
