To coincide with an exhibition of textiles, through a series of writing exercises and group discussions of poems, in this interactive writing workshop we’ll explore tactility in poems: how we write the sense of touch, how we write about what touches us, how we touch and move a reader.
The workshop will be led by local writer & teacher James McDermott. James’s poetry collections include ‘Father Myself’ (Nine Arches Press), ‘Wild Life’ (Nine Arches Press; shortlisted for the East Anglian Book Award 2023) and ‘Manatomy’ (Burning Eye Books). James is an Arvon writing tutor and lecturer in creative writing at UEA.
