This symposium is built on the belief that cultural access should not depend on where you live.
Your voice — whether you’re an artist, a teacher, a volunteer, a policymaker, a funder or a local resident — helps shape a fairer cultural landscape.

Together, we can rethink how culture is made, shared and supported in rural and coastal places.

While the morning and afternoon panels will outline themes for decentralisation, the subsequent Roundtable Sessions are the symposium’s working rooms. Designed for Contributing Practitioners, these facilitated breakouts turn discussion into practice. If the panels set the scene, the roundtables write the script.

Your insight, challenge, and lived experience will define what matters, what’s emerging, and what needs to change.
