Beginning March 2026, Cromer will exhibit full-size replica artworks from Towner Eastbourne, alongside an engaging public programme designed to reframe daily life through the lens of art.

Cromer Artspace, in partnership with Towner Eastbourne, brings a new landmark outdoor exhibition to Cromer in March 2026. Twenty-four full-size reproductions of artworks from Towner’s collection will be installed on streets, promenades and in green spaces, providing a roaming gallery open to the public 24/7. The project combines local storytelling and activity so that residents and visitors can discover art as a living part of coastal life.

  • The Bigger Picture is an ongoing project to bring free art to outdoor spaces in the coastal community for everyone to enjoy.
  • Scale that surprises: each high-quality reproduction is printed in the original dimensions so viewers can feel the work’s presence and detail as if standing before the original.
  • Digital access with Bloomberg Connects: audio guides and information about selected works will be available through the Bloomberg Connects app, extending the exhibition’s reach and offering accessible, extra on-demand content for visitors and remote audiences.
  • A year of discovery: curated walks, artist talks, school co-design workshops and online art trails will roll out across the year, inviting repeated visits and new discoveries.
  • Sustainable by design: durable materials, local businesses and small carbon footprint ensure the project leaves a positive legacy and works that can be reused by charities and non profit organisations after the season.
  • Professional care and credit: reproductions are produced with permission from Towner Eastbourne, printed to printed to a high standard and displayed with appropriate images credits.
