EXHIBITION DATES: 2 - 12 OCTOBER 2026
Brief
Cliff Edge captures the precarious moment where textile art stands today: between tradition and innovation, craft and concept, material and message. Like the literal cliff edge of Cromer — where land meets void, and stability gives way to erosion — this showcase will explore how textile artists confront sudden shifts, high stakes, and the possibility of collapse or transformation.
Themes explored
-
Disruption: Works that challenge norms of textile practice, pushing boundaries of form, function, and meaning.
-
Risk: Pieces that embrace fragility, impermanence, or political urgency.
-
Tension: Threads pulled taut between past and future, identity and abstraction, comfort and confrontation.
