Cromer Artspace is bringing something playful, surprising and unique to the town this summer: the Secret Postcard Exhibition & Sale: a vibrant celebration of creativity where every postcard holds a secret, and every visitor becomes a detective.
From established artists to first‑time creators, from bold abstracts to tiny masterpieces, hundreds of original postcard sized artworks will fill Artspace on the Prom. Each postcard will be displayed anonymously, inviting visitors to choose what they love purely on instinct. Only after purchase is the artist revealed, a moment that will bring delight, disbelief, and the occasional plot twist.
This year’s event promises something for everyone:
- Art lovers hunting for hidden gems
- Families enjoying a fun, affordable day out
- Collectors looking for emerging talent
- Visitors who simply enjoy a good mystery
- People who want to support Cromer’s creative community
The Secret Postcard Exhibition is more than a fundraiser, it’s a joyful reminder that creativity belongs to everyone. Postcards arrive from professional artists, hobbyists, students, volunteers, and people who’ve never submitted artwork before. The mix is part of the magic.
“People love the surprise,” says the team at Cromer Artspace. “You might walk away with a piece by a well‑known artist, or you might discover someone completely new. Either way, you’re taking home a one‑of‑a‑kind artwork and supporting future projects.”
All postcards are priced the same, making original art genuinely accessible. Funds raised will support Cromer Artspace’s year‑round programme of exhibitions, workshops and community projects.
