Event Details
Inspired by the Philip Walmsley exhibition, in this interactive inclusive workshop, through a series of group discussions of poems and individual writing exercises, learn tools and techniques to help you explore and experiment with form and structure in your poetry.
The workshop will be led by local writer & teacher James McDermott. James’s poetry collections include ‘Father Myself’ (Nine Arches Press), ‘Wild Life’ (Nine Arches Press; shortlisted for the East Anglian Book Award 2023) and ‘Manatomy’ (Burning Eye Books). James is an Arvon writing tutor and lecturer in creative writing at UEA.
“James has introduced me to new ways to think about time, images and spaces through language. The poetry workshops have been an insightful companion to my painting practice.”
