Event Details
Step into the wonderfully tactile world of collagraph printmaking, where creativity begins long before the ink touches the paper. In this lively workshop, you’ll build your own printing plate from scratch using materials like plastic, cardboard, or metal. Then the fun really starts—experiment with textures by layering fabric, paper, sand, sugar, and more, or carve and cut into the surface to create dramatic depth and contrast. Every plate becomes a unique artwork in itself.
You’ll also have the chance to explore the expressive immediacy of monotype printing. Using natural objects such as feathers, leaves, and plants, you’ll ink and print one‑of‑a‑kind impressions that capture delicate forms and unexpected patterns.
