Cromer Artspace: Sculpture @theGrove 2025
Cromer Artspace is excited to be holding its first outdoor sculpture exhibition in the delightful grounds of The Grove Hotel in Cromer from 28th June to 16th July 2025.
As a charity our mission is to bring art to Cromer for the benefit of both residents and visitors. We run Artspace on the Prom, showcasing contemporary art from East Anglia and beyond, in our iconic art deco building on the seafront. Cromer Artspace also organises the Bigger Picture project, with full-size reproductions of works from a nationally important collection exhibited on walls around the town each year. In 2025 works will be from the National Galleries of Scotland. The new Sculpture@ exhibitions increase our range.
Sculpture@theGrove will show new, site-specific work. To consider a submission, sculptors are invited to visit the Grove. A member of the team will be there on Wednesday 27th November 11am to 3pm, or you may visit independently and send any queries by email to .
Please let us know if you do not wish us to keep your email on record for future communications about Cromer Artspace sculpture exhibitions.
Submissions should be made through our website cromer-artspace.uk (using the form below) by 31st January 2025. The selection panel will consist of Desmond Brett, Rosy Gray, Sarah Horton and Fiona Roberts.
There is no submission fee. We are applying for ACE funding. If we are successful, we will pay artists an amount towards transport, materials and insurance. However if we are unsuccesful, we regret that for this first 2025 exhibition we are not able to make any payments to artists, who will need to arrange transport and insurance for their work.
We expect to select about 30 works for the exhibition, but of course this will depend on size and proposed locations.
Selected artists will install their work 25th to 27th June 2025 and take down on 17th and 18th July 2025.
The launch of Sculpture@The Grove will be on Sunday 29th June 2025.
Alongside the outside exhibition there will be a show at Artspace on the Prom of sculptors’ drawings, maquettes and small works. Sculptors will be invited separately to contribute to this parallel exhibition. However, do please let us know if you are interested.
