Art Deco Building Renovation Appeal

This Iconic Art Deco building at the west end of the Cromer Promenade sat empty, in need of love, attention and a new lease of life when we were offered the chance to take it on in 2022.

Rather than develop the space into a café (of which there are many fine establishments in the town and along the prom), we have been sharing our vision with North Norfolk District Council and working with them to turn this neglected, run-down storage area into an inspiring creative space. A space for people to see and exhibit art, participate in creative activities and attend community events. We believe this is a fantastic use for this building situated quite literally on the Norfolk coast, with endless inspiring views of the everchanging sea, horizon and skies.

This new Art Space is a great addition to our town which is a real hub for artists and gaining an ever increasing reputation as having thriving creative community.

We’ve been open for 2 season, making incremental changes, including an amazing access ramp making the space accessible; but there is still much to do.
