Event Details
What makes us choose a work of art? Is it the reputation of the artist, or simply the artwork itself?
The Cromer Artspace Secret Auction turns the traditional art market on its head. A collection of original artworks, generously donated by established, well-known and not so well-known, and emerging artists, will be displayed anonymously. Bidders can view every piece, study the details and decide what they love, but the identity of the artist remains a secret until the auction has ended.
The result is a rare opportunity to buy with your eyes rather than your expectations. You may discover a new favourite artist, take home a work by a recognised name, or simply acquire a piece that speaks to you personally. The surprise is part of the excitement.
Join us for an exhibition of intrigue, discovery and fundraising, where every bid supports Cromer Artspace and every artwork has a story waiting to be revealed.
Bid for the art you love. Discover the artist later.
Online bidding opens on 14th August and closes at 9pm on 28th August.
