Over the last two years, Malca Schotten has spent months in multiple exhibitions at The Sainsbury Centre in her role as a gallery invigilator. Her new work is inspired by her time observing visitors to the exhibitions. Schotten incorporates her belief that art in all its forms is integral to our existence.
Raised in London, Schotten is a Norwich based artist renowned for her huge, energetic drawings. Schotten’s subjects have included rural craftsmen, large portraits of older people, colossal suburban trees, and her personal journey through pregnancy.
