The works (artefacts) in this exhibition explore connection and disconnection and the potential of materials to transform, often in response to external forces such as heat or pressure.
Generally using recycled and found materials, Keron prefers to work with traditional hand tools as this slower process encourages a way of seeing and then re-seeing which, in turn, allows new ideas and forms to emerge in a reflective dialogue with the materials.
Keron has recently become interested in how perceptions of a particular art work may be changed (and hopefully enhanced) by being able to touch it …..
……..and so the work in this exhibition is presented with an invitation to the visitor to connect with the pieces through both sight and touch if they are moved to do so.
