To celebrate the beginning of a new year, through a series of writing exercises and group discussions of poems, in this interactive writing workshop we will explore many different ways to begin a poem.
This workshop will be led by local writer and teacher James McDermott. James’s poetry collections include ‘Father Myself’ (Nine Arches Press), ‘Wild Life’ (Nine Arches Press; shortlisted for The East Anglian Book Award 2023) and ‘Manatomy’ (Burning Eye Books.) James is an Arvon writing tutor and lecturer in creative writing at UEA.
